Job Summary
The Quality Assurance / Quality Control Officer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of raw materials, production processes, packaging, and finished products. The role involves conducting quality inspections and laboratory tests, monitoring production parameters, maintaining quality records, identifying non-conformities, and ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished margarine products.
- Conduct quality checks on fat content, moisture, appearance, texture, emulsion stability, filling weight, and packaging integrity as applicable.
- Monitor process parameters and ensure compliance with approved specifications and SOPs.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and maintain accurate quality records.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and traceability requirements.
- Monitor cleaning and sanitation practices and verify production-line hygiene.
- Identify non-conforming materials or products, initiate corrective actions, and coordinate with Production.
- Support product trials, shelf-life studies, calibration, internal audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure proper batch documentation, product release, and retention-sample management.
Requirements
- B.Sc. / HND in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in FMCG, food processing, edible oils, margarine manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Knowledge of food quality systems, HACCP, GMP, and laboratory testing.
- Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of food safety, product traceability, and non-conformance management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with Production and other teams.
